Fighting against illiteracy is a great way to impact someone's life by giving them a power to enrich their lives.
Helping ELL students is also one of the best ways to introduce our culture and language to build a bridge between different cultures.
To be our certified tutor, you have to participate our Tutor Training Workshop.
2018 Fall Tutor Training Workshop is scheduled for September 10, 17, 24, October 1 and 22.
Tutors need to be age 18 and older, and pass the Background Check.
Hours will be 3 hours each for the first fourth sessions and 2 hours for the last session.
These classes are very helpful to learn about adult education and tutoring skills.
By the forth session tutors will be matched with a student. Tutoring hours are usually 2 hours per week.
At the last session tutors have opportunity to share their tutoring experiences of the first month and get feedback.
These workshops are held at Coventry Public Library and the building across the street(Annex Building)
