Our volunteer Board of Directors oversees and advances the mission of the Washington County Coalition for Children, a regional child advocacy organization in southern RI, by
- attending monthly meetings
- providing advice and guidance
- supporting and advancing our Strategic Plan
- advocating for what is in the best interest of children/youth in Washington County
- fundraising and financial oversight
- networking and serving as ambassadors for our organization
We are a small working board and are looking for board members with experience in nonprofit administration, accounting/finance, fundraising, marketing, and social media promotion. In addition to our monthly meetings, Board members are involved in at least 1 committee or project. Time commitment varies between 4-6 hours per month. Ideal candidates live or work in Washington County and have a passion for child/youth mental health and wellness.
