Ambassador of Light

Description

Come in the evening for the WaterFire Lighting and interact with the public by creating a welcoming environment at one of our many stations on shore. If you are looking for a fun, social opportunity this is the position for you. Be prepared to hand out glow sticks, stickers or other items displayed on the table in return for a donation to keep the fires burning.

WaterFire Volunteer Attire:

  • All black head to toe – you are a part of the art!
  • Black mask – WaterFire will have black masks on site
  • Closed toe shoes – there are many areas with cobblestone

Suggestion: No large personal items and weather appropriate clothing

New! WaterFire ditches the plastic water bottle this season! Last season we eliminated the plastic from constructing the braziers and this season we want to reduce our carbon footprint by eliminating the need for single-use plastic bottles. We ask that you please bring a reusable water bottle to your shift and you will be able to refill on site.

Volunteer Team Requests:

  • If you are unable to make it to your shift, please let me know as soon as possible or unregister on the website.

  • Please be on time for your shift! WaterFire volunteers have the most important role to make a WaterFire lighting possible.

  • WaterFire will go on regardless of the weather, so please plan accordingly. We will be in touch if there are any emergencies.
