Fan Experience Ambassador - Pawtucket Watch Parties
Role Overview
Fan Experience Ambassadors play a key role in bringing Rhode Island’s public spaces to life during the summer of soccer. As an volunteer, you'll help create welcoming, vibrant, and well-organized environments for residents and visitors alike. You'll serve as both event support staff and cultural ambassadors—ensuring every space feels inclusive, engaging, and uniquely Rhode Island.
Key Responsibilities
Public Space Activation
- Support the setup, operation, and breakdown of watch parties and community events
- Welcome attendees and provide information on programming, schedules, and activities
- Encourage participation and help create a fun, energetic atmosphere in public spaces
Light Operations Support
- Act as an on-the-ground resource to help spaces run smoothly
- Monitor crowd flow and help direct attendees within event areas
- Identify and report needs such as cleanliness, maintenance issues, or supply gaps to event staff
- Assist with lost & found and general attendee questions
Cultural & Community Bridging
- Serve as a friendly, knowledgeable representative of Rhode Island and its communities
- Help visitors discover local neighborhoods, businesses, and cultural attractions
- Foster an inclusive environment for attendees of all backgrounds
- Provide basic support to international visitors (directions, general guidance, etc.)
Impact
By supporting public events, enhancing operations, and connecting visitors to local culture, they help ensure the World Cup’s regional impact is welcoming, organized, and widely felt.
