Before the event you can make phone calls, stuff goody bags, organize paperwork.
The day of the event we need help setting up, running games, handing out information, help running activities, then breaking down. The Empowerment Factory will present the 5th Annual Healthy Living community event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday September 19, at Payne Park, in Pawtucket. The event was created by The Empowerment Factory in 2017 and has developed into an annual celebration that demonstrates and shares healthy habits, creativity and literacy for community youth and their families. The event is free to attend.
The celebration is promoted as part of the Pawtucket Arts Festival as a way to further demonstrate the transformative power of the arts--and to highlight the diversity and uniqueness of Pawtucket’s Arts Community.
Activities include the making of art and display of art projects completed by youth from the community. There will be a wide variety of disciplines for participants to engage with, including: jewelry making, painting, drawing, side walk chalk mural, and craft projects, along with food, games and prizes for the families of Pawtucket and surrounding communities.
All volunteers are required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status. All events will be COVID compliant with direction taken from CDC.
