Sankofa World Market is a weekly celebration of food, culture, and community. The Market takes place on the first Saturday of every month at Southside Cultural Center. The market is presented by Sowing Place, a creative placemaking initiative led by the City of Providence’s Department of Art Culture + Tourism and Healthy Communities Office.
RIBS (in partnership with Sowing place and Southside Cultural Center) is looking for volunteers to help with the market on a monthly basis. Volunteers would help set up and break down, greeting visitors, direct traffic and generally lending a hand. Working with Sankofa World Market is a great way to engage with your community while enjoying a nice day outside!
