Description

Housing affordability remains a major challenge and UWRI invites community volunteers to join housing experts, officials and community members to discuss the problem and work on identifying solutions.

Speakers include Dr. Megan Sandel, Pediatrician at Boston Medical Center & Principal Investigator at Children's HealthWatch. Everyone in the community benefits when housing is affordable for all. Find out why Dr. Sandel believes that housing is one of the most effective vaccines to end chronic illness and poverty. Our other keynote speaker is Elizabeth Falcon, Director of Housing Advocacy, The Coalition for Nonprofit Housing & Economic Development, who is campaign manager of the Housing for All Campaign in Washington, DC. Elizabeth leads a 140-member coalition who are working for a $100 million commitment to affordable housing. Hear what she thinks we can do in Rhode Island.

Continental breakfast and lunch are provided.  This is free and open to the public - registration is required.
