Who We Are
AIDS Project Rhode Island (APRI) is dedicated to providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and collaborative response to the needs of people living with, affected by, and at risk for HIV/AIDS.
Originally founded in 1985, APRI was the first HIV/AIDS service organization in Rhode Island and today continues its longstanding tradition of offering critically needed services that improve the overall quality of life for people living with HIV, as well as providing comprehensive HIV/STI testing services and offering education on HIV and LGBTQ health issues.
APRI is a division of Family Service of Rhode Island.
What We Do
APRI provides our clients with a variety of services and programs designed to improve their overall quality of life, including including a food pantry and meal program, mental health services, transportation assistance, social activities, and much more. APRI case management services pair clients with case managers who help ensure that clients receive the health care and community services, as well as counseling and support, they may need to help them understand and cope with living with HIV. In addition, APRI offers a comprehensive HIV and STI testing and prevention program and speakers bureau.
