Who We Are

FACT (Fostering Alternative Choices and Thinking) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that empowers young people to build brighter futures.  Through inspiring and engaging presentations, we provide the tools and support needed to overcome challenges, develop life skills, and become confident leaders in their communities.

Mission:  To challenge young people to make informed, positive choices and avoid the pitfalls that can lead to addiction, criminal activity, and incarceration.

Vision:  A future where every young person understands the consequences of their choices, has access to the resources they need to thrive, and is equipped to build a fulfilling life free from addiction and crime.

What We Do

FACT was born out of tragedy, inspired by the loss of a brother to addiction.  Determined to prevent others from suffering the same fate, our founder, Christopher Frenier - a law enforcement and mental health professional - recognized the power of early intervention.  FACT emerged as a platform for sharing real-life stories and equipping middle and high school students with the knowledge to navigate life's choices with confidence.  Through engaging first- hand presentations from current and former justice involved speakers, students gain a real-world perspective of the consequences of early negative behaviors.

FACT believes that students are the heart of our communities.  We collaborate with schools, families, and community organizations to create a network of support that helps adolescents feel valued, heard, and supported in their efforts to create positive change in society.
