Our events center around building community and elevating self-esteem while having fun. Our creative and energetic Events Committee Members come up with event ideas for fundraising and for opportunities to spread our mission of turning obstacles into opportunities within our community.
What do Committee Members do?
Create an environment for fun and success
Attend bi-monthly meetings, not more than once a month, held both live and online
Work with the organization's current budget
Create a funding plan with a comprehensive event timeline
Coordinate and support the flow of information/communication between the other committees and the Board
Assist with collection of donations for fundraising opportunities
On the day of events:
Be available: beginning to end, setup to cleanup, if possible
Communicate all changes to facility managers and committee chairs
Address all challenges in a timely manner
Follow-up after the event:
Track the progress of the event
Evaluate the event plan
Follow-up with Thank you notes to participants and special guests
