**Position Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated and talented grant writer volunteer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to various foundations, organizations, and government agencies. Your efforts will directly contribute to our ability to fund projects and programs that promote kindness, volunteering, and community growth.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Research and Identify Grant Opportunities:** Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with Carita Smile's mission and programs.

2. **Grant Proposal Writing:** Prepare compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate our organization's goals, impact, and funding needs.

3. **Grant Application Submission:** Submit grant applications within deadlines, ensuring that all required documentation and supporting materials are included.

4. **Grant Reporting:** Assist in providing necessary reporting and updates to grantors as required by grant agreements.

5. **Collaboration:** Collaborate with the Carita Smile team to gather information and insights needed for grant proposals.

**Qualifications:**

- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough research and understand the requirements of different grant opportunities.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and grant writing is a plus, but not required.
