Pete & Andy's Food Pantry is an active Food Pantry in Providence that serves between 80-100 local families in the 02908 neighborhood every week. We are in need of volunteers to help us unload the food order that gets delivered every Friday morning from the Rhode Island Food Bank. Volunteers arrive at 10:30, and it usually takes about 1 hour. Volunteers must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Most of the boxes weigh 15-20 pounds. Additional side projects may be available such as sweeping the sidewalk, taking out recycling, etc.
We welcome individual volunteers or groups. We welcome you to come every Friday, or once a month.
We have a partnership with St. Peter's & St. Andrew's Episcopal church.
We are a very inclusive and welcoming church and food pantry.
