Help the Newport Tree Conservancy give new tree saplings their first home! One hundred native trees will be planted at Miantonomi Park this fall as part of our reforestation project. They'll arrive bare root this spring, and will be potting them up to put on some growth before planting. If you enjoy being outside, working with your hands, and playing with some dirt, this volunteer opportunity is for you! No experience required. Please bring work gloves and proper attire as we will be outside and working with soil.
NTC's Heritage Tree Center is located at Rogers High School in Newport. Enter and park in the lot on Old Fort Road across from the fire station. Walk up the hill away from the tennis courts until you see the green house.
