Volunteer: Animal Care VolunteerWe expect a lot from our animal care volunteers. First, we require at least a one-year commitment for any animal care volunteer to be considered for the position. Volunteers have one 4hr shift each week and are required to have at least a 75% attendance rate. Our animals need to be fed every single day and volunteers are responsible for finding coverage for their shift if they need to call out. We also need people with reliable vehicles who are able to get here even if there is a snowstorm or other weather hazards. Volunteers must be able to work holidays. Be aware of that when choosing a day to apply for (if you are on a Thursday shift, you will be working Thanksgiving each year, etc.).
