The Art League Rhode Island Development Committee is currently recruiting new members who are interested in actively participating in fundraising initiatives and the coordination of fundraising events. If you have experience in event planning, marketing, public relations or non-profit work, come join our team that supports the arts in the Rhode Island community.

Art League Rhode Island is seeking an experienced grant writer to identify funding sources, develop and write grant proposals that persuasively communicates ALRI’s mission and programs to potential funders.

Requirements:
Knowledge of grant application process & writing of proposals.
Knowledge of various grant programs available to nonprofit arts organizations.
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
Self-motivated, reliable, organized and thorough.
Collaborate with artists in brainstorming program ideas and strengthening writing skills.

Volunteers are needed to gallery sit during open hours. Volunteers should have a strong interest and/or experience in the visual arts, be outgoing and willing to greet visitors and talk about the artwork on display.

Responsibilities include learning about the artists and artwork on display in order to provide information to visitors to the gallery, Training will be provided.
