Haven Box

Mission

The mission of Haven Box is to provide comfort boxes to Survivors of sexual violence. Haven Box items are carefully and compassionately chosen to support the inherent dignity, self-care, and recovery of a person after experiencing sexual violence.

Vision

Haven Box envisions a world free of sexual violence and where resources like ours are no longer needed. Until that is accomplished, we will be fierce advocates, aiming to comfort and empower Survivors while educating the community on the impacts and realities of sexual violence.

Values

Dignity - Survivors should not be reduced to their experiences but at all times be treated with honor, respect and compassion.

Choice - Survivors are free to exercise choice; to report their incident of violence, or not.  So much has been taken from them and we believe empowerment can be restored through the exercise of choice.

Anti-racist/Anti-oppression - To truly support ALL Survivors, white supremacy culture and heteropatriarchy must be deconstructed, allowing for more equitable and accessible supports and resources.  We believe our liberation is bound together.
